Stanley E. Gula

Obituary

 

   Stanley E. Gula, born Oct.26, 1943 Holyoke MA. Son of Edward S. Gula and
Lillian {Skinnger} Gula, 24 High St., South Hadley Falls, MA. Stan was named
after his uncle who died on Sept. 26, 1943 while serving in WWII.
   Attended South Hadley Falls elementary schools, and South Hadley High
School. Graduated in 1961. Also attended Holyoke Community College. He
was a member of the MA. National Guard, 26th Yankee Division from 1964 to
1970.
  At the age of 19 Stan joined Tecnifax / Scott Graphics, of Holyoke and South
Hadley, MA. At the young age of 21 he was promoted to the position of
supervisor becoming the youngest management person within the Company.
Stan held several management positions within Tecnifax / Scott Graphics. He
joined Xidex Corp, Sunnyvale, CA in 1974 after Xidex bought out the Microfilm
Division of Scott Graphics. Worked at Xidex Holyoke, MA. as Asst. Plant
Manager of the Holyoke plant. In 1976 Stan and his family were transferred to
Sunnyvale, CA.
   Stan was promoted to Director of Corp. Planning for Xidex and later became
Vice President of the Microfilm Division of Xidex. In 1986 Stan resigned from
Xidex and returned with his family to the East Coast settling in Boscawen, NH.
Stan and his wife started and ran a very successful retail business for the next
25 years.
   In 1967 Stan was married to his wife, Virginia L. Tyler in Enfield, CT. They raised
two children, Lori-Ann, and David.
   Stan was a 3rd degree Master Mason, of Horace Chase Masonic Lodge #72 F &
AM, Boscawen, NH, and a 32nd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite Bodies of
NH. He was also a member of the Order of the Mystic Shrine, Bektash Temple,
Concord, NH.
  He was a communicant of St. Paul Church, Franklin, NH.
  Stan and Ginny enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding, skiing, snowmobiling, golf,
and just being outdoors.
   He is predeceased by four brothers, Edward, Gerald, Dennis, and Richard.
He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Virginia [Tyler] Gula of Franklin, NH,
daughter Dr. Lori Tyler Gula, of Lee, NH, son David Gula and wife Joann of
Epsom, NH. Also, his sister Susan Chamberland of Chicopee, MA. Along with
several nieces and nephews and cousins.

  Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 2-4 and 5-7pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin, NH.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 10 am in St. Paul Church, 110 School St., Franklin.  Burial will be in the spring.  Masks and social distancing are required at the services.   For directions and an online guestbook, please visit www.neunfuneralhomes.com
