Nancy Ann (Stark) Turner, 86, of Laconia, New Hampshire, passed away at Belknap County Nursing Home on May 21, 2022, following a battle with Parkinson disease. She was born in Brattleboro, Vermont on February 9, 1936, the oldest child of Malcolm and Stella (Martin) Stark. She graduated from Appleton High School in 1954 and attended Nursing school in 1955. She later went on to earn her degree of Doctor of Chiropractic where she practiced chiropractic care in the State of California. Spending 15 years working for the Aquarian Foundation, in Settle, Washington.
Nancy is survived by two daughters, Lynn Cushman of Amesbury, MA and Denise Corey and her husband Sheldon of Northfield, New Hampshire, a daughter-in-law, Pam Turner of Hiram, Maine, 7 grandchildren, Jamie Cushman and his wife Tulay Cushman, Jennifer Cushman and her finance, Daniel Wildes, Sherri Ferns and her husband John Ferns, Brian Ouellette II and his wife Carrie Ouellette, Kristy Badger and her husband Glen Badger, Elizabeth Spencer and her husband Jaime Spencer, Kenneth Turner, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, Banx Ferns. She is also survived by 3 brothers and 1 sister, Stanley Stark, Molly Leigher, James Stark and his wife Brenda Stark and Malcolm Stark Jr and his wife Vicki Stark, several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Leslie Lindgren, of NC. She is predeceased by her parents, Malcolm and Stella Stark, her husband, Louis Turner, her son, Louis Turner Jr., a son-in-law, Richard Cushman, a brother-in-law, Frank Leigher and a sister-in-law, Wanda Stark.
Nancy loved her family dearly and was loved by everyone she met. She married her husband, Louis in 1955 and raised their three children. It was later in life when she relocated to the State of Washington to be with her parents, where she found a passion to study for her degree in Chiropractic care. She enjoyed traveling and always mentioned how she wanted to visit all the states and did accomplish that just before her illness came on. She never lost her sense of humor for life. The staff who cared for her would often tell the family how they loved talking and listening to the stories she told and how she was quick to come up with the humor on any topic. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all took a turn being her favorite. As of late the title was reserved for her great-great-grandson, Banx.

Memorial services will be held at the Appleton Pine Grove Cemetery on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. reception will follow at the Union Masonic Lodge, 149 Sennebec Rd., Union, Maine.
