Michael S. Colcord, Sr.,65, of Franklin, died at CRVNA Hospice House in Concord on Feb. 4, 2021.
He was born in Franklin on Nov. 30, 1955 the son of Erford “Bud” Colcord and Phyllis (Fogg) Colcord. Mike was raised in Franklin and attended local schools.
For many years, Mike co-owned and operated Colcord Auto Body in Franklin alongside his eldest son Mike, Jr. Mike Sr was a very idolized man, a lot of people looked up to him.
He never met a rule he could not break a boundary he could not push, or a line he couldn't cross. Despite his CRUSTY exterior CUTTING remarks and STUBBORNNESS there is actual EVIDENCE that he was a LOVING son, father, and grandfather the proof is in the deep sorrow and pain that fills our hearts. For a man who was a legend to many, HERO to some and LEADER to all, someone once said “if your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, and do more and become more, then you are an excellent leader,” until we meet again, I will be in the wind that moves by you. This is not a goodbye but a see you later.
Family members include his fiancé, Debbie Morgan of Franklin, 4 children: Stephanie Kelley and her huband Stephen Kelley II, Mike Colcord, Jr. and his wife Katelyn, all of Franklin, Justin Colcord of AZ, and Michael Caron of TN, his mother, Phyllis Colcord of FL, 2 sisters: Cindy Bird of Franklin and Brenda Colcord of Northwood, and several loving grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of Mike's life at the Franklin Lodge of Elks, 125 S. Main St., Franklin, on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 from 1:00-4:00 pm.
Spring burial will be in Franklin Cemetery.
