John "Harvey" Harville Maviki

Obituary

John Harville “Harvey” Maviki, a resident of Danbury, NH passed on January 15th 2022 at the age of 92.  Harvey was born on a farm on Maviki Road in Wilmot, NH on April 5, 1929 to Stanislaus “Stanley” John Maviki (Maveki) of Stutchen, Poland and Marie Janet Cote of Manchester, NH.

Harvey is predeceased by his brother, Waldon A. Maviki and sister Rhoda Deftos Tucker and survived by his sister Priscilla Carr LaPointe.  As a young boy, Harvey was a polio survivor.  For a short period during WWII, he and the family lived in Boston.  After the war, the family moved to a farm in Grafton, NH and later to a farm in Danbury, NH where he spent his later years.

Harvey loved living on the farm.  He especially enjoyed his pets, gardens, flowers and wildlife.  He had a delightful sense of humor and enjoyed helping at home. During the cold New Hampshire winters, the woodstove was his best friend.
