OBITUARY Mrs. Victoria M. Virgin, 80, of Silver Lake, Tilton, NH, went to be with her Lord, with her sons at her side, at Lakes Region General Hospital on Sept. 2, 2011. She was born in Laconia on Feb. 12, 1931 the daughter of James and Eva (Thompson) Trumbull. Mrs. Virgin was raised in Laconia and was a graduate of Laconia High School. She resided at her Silver Lake residence in Tilton for the past 46 years. She was employed for several years by Gallagher, Callahan, and Gartrell Law Firm in Concord. Mrs. Virgin was very active in her community. She is a former Tilton Selectman, Budget Committee member, Parks Commission member, and former member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. She was also a member of the Silver Lake Assn. Board of Directors. Mrs. Virgin was a member of the Northfield-Tilton Congregational Church since 1957. Over those years, she was active in many Church affairs including as a Deacon, Trustee and Chairman, Treasurer pro tem, and purchasing agent. For many years she prepared the bulletin, coordinate building activities, Chairman of Missions, President of Ladies Circle, and treasurer/coordinator of the Benevolent Fund. She was the member of the Eastern Star and the Red Hat Society, which she enjoyed very much. Mrs. Virgin was the widow of Charles E. Virgin who died in 1994. Family members include her 4 sons: Wayne M. Virgin and his wife Jill of Mt. Vernon, ME; Rick T. Virgin and his wife Jane of Tilton; Victor E. Virgin and his wife Bernadette of Franklin; and James M. Virgin and his wife Nancy of Lyndeborough, NH, 9 grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 at 11:00 am at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield. A visiting hour will be held from 10-11:00 am. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth.
