Franklin, NH Mrs. Verna M. French, 77, formerly of 387 North Main St., Franklin died Sept. 27, 2005 at her daughter?s home in Franklin. She was born in Danville, Vt. on Feb. 11, 1928 the daughter of Napoleon and Nellie (Powers) Paradie. A lifelong resident of Franklin, Mrs. French was employed at Franklin Regional Hospital for many years. Mrs. French later worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Concord for 10 years prior to retirement. Mrs. French was the widow of James L. French, Sr. who died in 1980. Family members include 14 children: James French of Laconia; Jeanne Dukette of Andover; Sylvia Chmielewicz of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; George French of Andover; Patricia Derby of Webster; Michael French of Franklin; David French of New Hampton; Susan Overlock of Franklin; Sherry Ames of Franklin; Raymond French of Gilford; Kathy Kenneson of Belmont; Deborah Tessier of Northfield; Peggy Arend of Newfields; and Cheryl Davis of Concord; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Vera Wallace of Ayer, Mass; Phyllis Sherman of West Chazy, NY; and Doris Ouellette of Penacook; 3 brothers: Frederick Paradie of Woodsville, NH; Roy Paradie of Lisbon; and Richard Paradie of Littleton; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. French was predeceased by 2 sisters: Avis Silvermen and Lois Paye, and two brothers: Herbert Paradie and Robert Paradie. Visiting hours will be held Friday, Sept. 30th at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin, NH from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005 at 10 am in The Baptist Church of Franklin, 21 Church St. Franklin. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery, Franklin.
