Biography Thomas W. Clegg, Jr., 91, of Tilton, New Hampshire (formerly of Wilmington, DE), passed away on July 7, 2015. Tom was born in Wilmington, Delaware on July 5, 1924. He graduated from Wilmington High School and attended Brown Technical School. Tom served in World War II as a proud crew member of the minesweeper USS Pilot. He also served in the Korean War. Tom worked as a machinist for the Pusey & Jones Company before ending his career with the Dupont Company at Carney's Point, NJ and Edgemoor Plant in Delaware. He enjoyed reading, oil painting and was an active member of the Masonic Temple. Tom is survived by his daughter Kay Hickman, of Bradford, NH, his six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and other family and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his wife Jean (nee Seiple) and son T. Charles Clegg. Internment will be at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery at a future date. Tom will be missed by all that knew him for his factual knowledge and quirky sense of humor.
