Bow, NH?. Mr. Thomas J. Draus, 75, of Bow, NH, died at Concord Hospital on June 22, 2010. He was born in Meriden, CT on Dec. 29, 1934 the son of James Ignatius and Katherine (Maciej) Draus. Tom lived in Meriden for all his life before moving to Bow, NH in 1985. Prior to retiring, he worked for the State of NH at NH State Hospital in Concord. While in Meriden, he owned and operated Crown St. Market for many years. He later operated Meriden Refrigeration and worked at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus and was a former parishioner of St. Stainless Church. He was a parishioner, lector, and Eucharistic Minister at St. Peter Church in Concord. He also attended daily Mass at Holy Rosary Church and the Carmelite Monastery in Concord. Tom assisted at Bishop Brady Bingo for several years. He also bowled in the Half-Fast Bowling league in Manchester. His wife, Carol (Krystock) Draus, died in 1993. Family members include his children: Susan A. Draus and Katherine M. Draus, both of Bow, a son, Stephen Draus and his wife Nikki of Penacook, 2 grandchildren, Morgan and Christian, 2 sisters, Frances Neun of Wethersfield, CT and Michaline Sikora and her husband Roman of Meriden, CT, and nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Monday, June 28th from 5:00-8:00 pm at Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 29th at 10:00 am in St. Stanislaus Cemetery Chapel, Meriden.
