Theresa Maher

Theresa (Yeo) Maher, 83, of Franklin, died at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen on Nov. 29, 2010. She was born in Franklin on Dec. 28, 1926, the daughter of Thomas and Alice (Brown) Yeo. Mrs. Maher was from a family of 14 children and resided in Franklin all of her life until entering the nursing home. Several years ago, she was employed at Webster Valve in Franklin and Beede Electric in Penacook. Prior to retiring, Theresa was employed at the former Mtn. Crest in Franklin. She was a communicant of St. Paul Church. Theresa was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Puffinburger who died in 1954, and husband Wilfred ?Babe? Maher who died in 1983. She was also predeceased by 2 sons: Kenneth M. Harris in 1988 and Robert Puffinburger in 1995. Family members include her children: Edward Puffinburger of Franklin, Brenda Thomas of Boynton Beach, FL, Holly Hollins and Joanne Jones, both of East Andover, and Heidi Gauthier of Chicopee, MA, 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and the last surviving sibling, her sister, Mildred Dillon of Franklin, and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 4th at 10:00 am in St. Paul Church, School St., Franklin. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
