Theresa Hunt

Franklin, NH Theresa Rita (Croteau) Hunt, 85, of Franklin, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, August 17, 2014. Theresa was born in June of 1929 in Tilton the daughter of Louis and Laura (Nault) Croteau. She was a member of the graduating class of 1947 of what is currently Winnisquam Regional High School. Theresa began her career as a waitress at Pop's Diner in Tilton. Theresa loved the residents of the Tilton community and her fellow co-workers in the variety of positions she held until retiring at age 64. She was formerly employed at Tilton Tannery for 25 years and New England Clinical Laboratories in Tilton. Also, Control Moldings, Griffin Hacksaw/Stanley Tools (10 years), and Oak Laminates, all in Franklin. Theresa has a passion for dancing; her favorite television show was "Dancing With the Stars." She has a heart of the purest gold. Her two grandsons, Eric and Kyle, gave her true meaning and purpose. She loved them both beyond "words." Theresa was one of the nicest things that could happen to anyone. She was someone to laugh and share with and join in the fun. She helped in rough times and knew when you needed a warm smile. She was someone who quietly listened when you just wanted to talk for a while. Theresa is dear to all of us "always," for she has such a wonderful part in all of the favorite memories that we will keep close to our hearts. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Robert A. Hunt who died in June of 2013. Family members include her children: James Hunt of Salisbury, Cindy Hunt and husband Steven Lemire of Gilmanton, Steve Hunt of Franklin, and Diane (Hunt) Cross and husband Robert Cross of Hill, grandsons: Eric and Kyle Cross of Hill, sister, Lorraine (Croteau) Sorette of Franklin, and nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Pauline Poisson, and brothers: Henry, Paul, Roger, and Roland Croteau. A service celebrating Theresa's life will be held at NH Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, on Friday, Aug. 22, 2014 at 10:00 am.
