Mrs. Thelma M. Heath, 87, of Concord, died at Pleasant View Healthcare Ctr. in Concord on March 15, 2011. She was born in East Andover on Oct. 9, 1923 the daughter of William and Bessie (George) Miller. Thelma was raised in East Andover and later resided in Franklin and Concord. Mrs. Heath worked as a registered nurse for many years. She trained at Laconia Hospital where she later worked as well as Franklin Hospital, NH Veterans Home, NH State Prison, and NH State Hospital. Her favorite part of nursing was delivering babies while working in Laconia and Franklin. With her late husband, she owned and operated Quality Cash Market in Concord from 1977 until 1981 and it continues to operate in the Heath family. She will always be remembered as being a friend to everyone. For many years, Mrs. Heath donated dolls she renewed to the Salvation Army. Thelma was a longtime member of TOPS #NH121, Penacook and recently attained 15 years as a member of KOPS. She was a life member and past president of VFW Post #1698 Ladies Auxiliary and was a charter member of the FOE (Eagles) Auxiliary in Concord. She was a longtime member of The Congregational Christian Church in Franklin and was the widow of Edwin H. Heath, Sr. who died in 2000. Family members include her daughter, Bonnie A. McCranie of Stafford, VA; 4 sons: Tony Heath and Debbie of Concord, Tim G. Heath and Rita of Franklin, Peter M. Heath and Debbie of Hill, Edwin H. Heath, Jr. and Denise of Franklin; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a brother, John E. Whedon of Franklin; nieces and nephews; and close friend, George Blodgett. Visiting hours will be held Sunday (March 20th) from 3-6 at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. Funeral services will be Monday (March 21st) at 1:00 pm at The Congregational Christian Church, 47 S. Main St., Franklin with spring burial at Lakeside Cemetery, East Andover.
