Steven Fortier

Steven E. Fortier, 48, passed away suddenly on March 5, 2011 in Franklin. He was born on July 13, 1962 in Laconia the son of Donat and Claire (LaPierre) Fortier of Port Charlotte, FL. Steven resided in the Laconia-Franklin area and worked as a concrete construction worker, machinist, and a floor installer. He was a graduate of Laconia Technical College receiving his degree at graduation in 1994. Steven enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. Besides his parents, he is survived by daughter, Amanda M. Fortier-Kelly of Laconia, two sons, Joseph Miller of Belmont, and Joshua Colgate of Derry, a grandson, Brennan Miller, a brother, Michael Fortier and his wife Gail of Belmont, 3 sisters, Jeanne Haynes and her husband Michael of Port Charlotte, FL, Donna Vachon and her husband Dana of Meredith, Debra Fortier of Virginia Beach, VA, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a long-time friend, Lynn Dion and her son Christopher of Franklin. His wishes were that there be no calling hours or services. Following cremation, Steven will be buried in Pineground Cemetery in Chichester in the spring.
