Simonne Boucher

Biography Simonne M. (Dube) Boucher was born on August 29th, 1915; the 9th of 11 children born to Ludger and Marie (Lavesque) Dube. She went to Infant Jesus School and graduated from Saint Aloysius High School in 1931. During the Great Nashua Flood, Simonne met Edward Boucher; they were married for 66 years and had three children - James, Peter, and Linda. Simonne was a founding member of the Nashua Association of Retarded Children and Mount Hope School of Nashua. After Ed's retirement in 1982, they moved full -time to their cottage in Hillsboro, NH and Simonne became a devoted parishioner of Saint Mary's church. Simonne was an active member of the Ladies Aid Society for over 20 years, President for one year, and was still a member at 100 years old. Simonne loved being with her family. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed sharing her goodies with everyone. On holidays you could always find her lengthy menu posted on the fridge. She loved crosswords, sending out hand-written cards, reading to her great-grandchildren, and telling stories of her life with Ed. Simonne was predeceased by her husband Edward in 2007, and her 10 siblings. She is survived by her three children, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grand children, and many nieces and nephews. Simonne died after a short illness, with her loving family by her bedside at Franklin Regional Hospital on March 26th, 2016. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield from 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 30 at 9:00 am in St. Mary of The Assumption Church, 16 Chestnut St., Tilton. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Hudson, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Special Olympics New Hampshire, 650 Elm Street #200, Manchester NH 03101-2508 ( www.SpecialOlympics.org ).
