Ruth Clifford

Ruth E. Clifford, 90, formerly of Northfield, died at Merrimack County Nursing Home on Feb. 7, 2017. She was born in Northfield on July 21, 1926 the daughter of George and Rose (LaPlante) Clifford. Ruth previously worked as a homemaker at Merrimack County Nursing Home. She greatly enjoyed music and was a beautiful singer. Ruth was a member of the Northfield-Tilton Congregational Church where she was a choir member. She is survived by a brother-in-law, Bernard Chapman, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings: Rose Marilyn Chapman, Minnie Dow, Clyde, Kenneth, Kermit, Forrest, Arnold, Owen, Lawrence, George, and Francis Clifford A graveside service will be held in the spring at Park Cemetery, Tilton. Donations in memory of Ruth may be made to The Edna McKenna Fund at Merrimack County Nursing Home, 325 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, NH 03303.
