Ronald Godbout

Northfield, NH Ronald E. Godbout, 73, of Northfield, died of brain cancer on Dec. 11, 2016. Ron was born in Augusta, Me. on March 3, 1943 the son of Clement and Germaine (Berube) Godbout. He was raised in Augusta and graduated from Cony High School in 1960. Ron has resided in Northfield since 1987. He served in the US Air Force for 25 years receiving many awards and commendations. He retired as Chief Master Sgt. in 1984. Ron earned a Masters Degree in Education and worked as an Occupational Safety Engineer and retired from the NH Auto Dealers Assn. He is survived by his family which include his wife of 52 years, Mary-Jean (Tarrant) Godbout of Northfield, two sons, James Godbout and his wife Jillian of Idaho, and Jon Godbout and his wife Lori of Londonderry, and four grandchildren, James Angus, Declan, Ethan, and Evelyn. He will be missed by his family and so many friends and extended family. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Assumption Church, Chestnut St., Tilton on Friday, Jan. 13, 1071 at 11 am.
