Ronald Durgin

Mr. Ronald R. Durgin, 71, of Northfield, died at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester on Aug. 12, 2016. He was born in Springfield, MA on Dec. 10, 1944 the son of Raymond and Juliette (Racine) Durgin. Ron was raised in Franklin and graduated from Franklin High School in 1962 and later attended NH Tech in Manchester. He served in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War. He and his family reside in the home he built 50 years ago. Ron worked for several years at Vernitron in Laconia. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elaine (Durgin) Durgin of Northfield, 4 children: Angela Conway and husband Alan of Belmont, Daniel Durgin of Northfield, Juliette Onwi and husband Mike of Roanoke, VA, and Jason Durgin and wife Heather of Northfield, 9 grandchildren, a sister, Janice VanderBogart of Dunbarton, and nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 6-8:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield.
