Robert E. Wilmarth, 92, of Bristol, NH, died June 30, 2011, at the New Hampshire Veteran's Home in Tilton. He was born on February 3, 1919, in Medway, MA, to Russell and Harriet (Hook) Wilmarth. Robert served as a B-26 pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He flew most of his missions in the Pacific Theater. After his service, he spent the majority of his business life as the owner of a foundry in Bellingham, MA, later moving his business to Bristol, NH. Robert stayed active throughout his life playing golf and skiing. He worked as a ski instructor and marshaled at a golf course until the age of 88. He enjoyed volunteering in the community delivering meals on wheels until last year. He is pre-deceased by his wife, Kathlyn, known by most as Neen, (Duddy), who died in 1997, and children Gemma Meehan and her husband Dan of Gilford, NH, and Faith Wilmarth of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by three children from his first marriage, Robert Wilmarth and his wife Janet of Costa Rica, Richard Wilmarth and his wife Darlene of Opelika, AL, and Donna Davis of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and many, many grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Warren Wilmarth of Wolfeboro, NH, and sister Marjorie Wyman of Uxbridge, MA. A service will be held at the New Hampshire Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, NH, on Friday, July 8, at 1:00 pm.
