Robert Lord

Robert L. Lord, 93, of Tilton, died peacefully on Sept. 15, 2013 at the NH Veterans Home. Prior to living at the Veterans Home, he was a resident of Manchester and Concord. Born Jan. 9, 1920, in Lynn, MA, he was the son of Elmer and Laura (Hebb) Lord. Robert served in the US Army's 13th and 19th Infantry before and during World War II. He worked at Anchor Electric division of Sola Basic in Manchester. Mr. Lord was married to his wife of 53 years, Elaine (Richardson) who passed away in February 2000. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Julie and David Rothmund of Raymond, Roberta and Frank Gelinas of Hooksett, Bernice and Joseph Thomas of Amherst, Donna and Michael McIntire of Londonderry, Richard and Erin Lord of Bow, and Margaret Lesnyk of Londonderry. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There will be a simple interment ceremony at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on Friday, Sept. 20, at 11 am. The family wishes to thank the extraordinary staff at New Hampshire Veterans Home for their kind and loving care.
