Robert Downes

Robert J. Downes, Sr., 70, of Franklin, died at his home on Sept. 12, 2016. He was born in Hanover, NH on April 20, 1946 the son of Phillip and Daisy Belle (Sawyer) Downes. Mr. Downes was raised in Andover and resided in Franklin for several years. He was employed by the former Stanley Tools in Franklin for 22 years and later at Control Molding before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and following the Red Sox and Patriots and spending time with his grandchildren. Family members include 3 children, Robert J. Downes of Northfield, Phillip Downes of Concord, and Cheryl Downes of Franklin, 4 grandchildren, 2 sisters: Florence Fleury of Franklin and Mae Downes of Tilton, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services are private.
