Dow, Sr., 80, of Northfield, died at his home on July 20, 2013 after a long battle with COPD. He was born in Concord on May 28, 1933 the son of Harold F. Dow and Ruth Alice (Young) Dow. Mr. Dow was raised in Concord and resided in Northfield for 56 years. Several years ago, he worked at Malleable Iron Co. in Laconia, JP Stevens Co. for 15 years, and lastly he was employed by Quality Controls where he worked for 21 years. He was a very hard-working man and was well liked and loved by many. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and following the Red Sox. Family members include his wife of 56 years, Bernice " Bea" (Leavitt) Dow of Northfield, 3 children: Robert F. Dow, Jr., Duane C. Dow, and Justin A. Hancock, all of Northfield, 3 grandchildren, Robynn Mai Moore of Laconia, Scott Tarr of Belmont, and Robert David Moore of Northfield, 2 great grandchildren, Conner Chamberland and Abby, a sister, Gloria Heath of Concord,and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, James Dow. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield.
