Robert (Bob)Howard Britt, 88, of Franklin passed away peacefully, September 23, 2023, with his loving wife and family by his side.
Bob was born on June 17, 1935, to the late Helen Katherine Britt Jones and the late Howard Jackson Britt in Orlando Florida. After graduating high school, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from the University of Miami (FL) in 1956.
Bob was a hard worker who worked up until the age of 82. Bob also proudly served his country in the United States Air Force Reserves.
Bob was a big sports fan, especially football and baseball. Bob was a fan of the Miami Dolphins and Hurricanes, along with the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and the University of Notre Dame.
Bob was also a proud member of the Catholic Church, which he carried close to his heart. Bob also enjoyed singing, especially the opera. Bob would love to listen to opera music and was also not afraid to sing along. Bob carried his love for singing in Church, which also included singing in family member’s weddings throughout the years.
Most of all, Bob was a proud family man. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather and friend to anyone he came across. Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn Britt of Franklin, his children, Charmaine Pescinski (Northfield, NH), Robin Britt (St. Petersburg, Florida), Robert W. Britt (Cocoa Beach, Florida), April Britt Houten and her husband Steve Houten (Pittsfield, NH), his sister-in law Betty Jones (Jacksonville, North Carolina), nephews William Jones (Wilmington, North Carolina), and David Sheets (Orlando, Florida). Bob is also survived by his grandchildren: Britany, Tyler, Taylor, Philip, Hope, Megan, Christopher, and Cooper and also his great grandchildren: Lilly, Piper and Cole.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, his brother William Jones, his nephew Doug Jones and sister-in-law Julianna Stripp.
Visting hours will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St. Franklin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 10:00 am in Christ The King Parish Church in Concord. The internment will take place at 1:00 pm at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen.
