Rita J. McAdams, 89, passed away on Aug. 3, 2010 at the Aiterra Sterling House in Tavares, FL. She was born in Franklin, NH on July 21, 1921 the daughter of James and Lea (Delisle) McAdams. She lived in Franklin for about 40 years and was a graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1939. Rita was a longtime member of St. Paul Church in Franklin. Moving to Florida several years ago, she graduated from the University of Miami in 1968 as second highest in her class. She decided to go for her CPA in 1969 passing it the first time. Rita formed her own accounting firm, Hippler and McAdams in Eustis, FL. She bought a home in Eustis where she was a member of the BPW and was voted ""Woman of the Year"" in 1982. Rita was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eustis. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward J. McAdams and Maurice McAdams. Following retirement, she continued to help people with their taxes, shopping, and doctors' appointments. Rita was a very caring person and always put others before herself. She was an angel on earth and will be missed greatly. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 31st at 10 am in St. Paul Church, Franklin. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
