Telephone 934-2408 Franklin... Mr. Richard Davis Sr., 77, of Prospect St., Franklin, died peacefully at home with his family by his side on Feb. 16, 2016. He was born in Franklin, NH on August 12, 1938 the son of late Alvin and Caroline (Leighton) Davis. Mr. Davis attended schools in Franklin and resided in Franklin his entire life. Several years ago, Richard was employed at J.P. Stevens Mill in Franklin, Grevior Furniture in Franklin, Sanel Auto Parts in Concord and Franklin, and later at Pike Industries where he retired after 31 years. He was a dedicated member of the Franklin Fire Dept., where he retired in 2009 after 50 years of service as Captain with the Hook and Ladder Co. He was a member of the Veterans Firefighter Assoc. in Franklin. Also a member of the Franklin Elks Lodge #1280. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, snowmobiling, going to the ocean, his garden, and family gatherings. Family members include: his predeceased wife of 44 years Margaret Davis, 4 children: Richard Davis Jr., Beverly Sulloway, Brian Davis, and Jeffrey Davis all of Franklin; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. A brother Allen Davis of Franklin, a sister Jane Maheu of Warner, a brother Samuel Davis of Franklin, and a predeceased brother Phillip Davis of Suncook, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visiting hours will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 from 2-5:00 pm with and Elks service at 4:00 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Congregational Christian Church, South Main St., Franklin. Spring burial will be at the Franklin Cemetery, Thompson Park, Franklin. Donations in memory of Mr. Davis may be made to the Franklin Fire Dept., 59 West Bow St., Franklin, NH 03235.
