Richard Robinson

Franklin, NH? Richard A. Robinson, 70, of Franklin, died Oct. 21, 2010 surrounded by family after a brief illness. Richard was born in Ossipee, NH son of Thelma L Robinson. He attended schools in Sanbornton and Ashland, NH, and Boston, MA. He retired as an SFC from the US Army. He served with the 10th Special Forces Group and served two tours in Vietnam as well as many years in Germany. Following his 22 years of service in the Army, he was employed at R.D.Brew Co in Concord, Pitco Friolator in Concord, Eagle Machine & Tool in Ashland, and retired from the US Postal Service at age 62 working in Concord and Franklin. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Red Sox and Patriots games, and being surrounded by family and friends. He was a member of VFW Post 1698 in Franklin, and American Legion Post #49 in Northfield, and the Special Forces Assn. Family members include his wife of 38 years, Linda L. (Marsh) Robinson, his children, Theresia L. Robinson of Hudson, Richard P. Robinson of Boston, MA, Terrianne M. Robinson, Ryan Robinson, Paul Robinson, all of Franklin, NH, and Donna Snapp of Winchester, VA, a brother: Ronald Reister of Franklin, grandchildren: Kayla, Michael and Sean Murray of Franklin, NH, Drew Robinson of Belmont, NH, Alisha Robinson and Alexis Robinson, both of Franklin, NH, and nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by two stepfathers: Justin Reister and Milton C. Bundy. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held Wednesday, Oct. 27th at 10 am at NH Veterans Cemetery Chapel, Rte. 3, Boscawen, NH.
