Richard Hodgdon, Jr

Richard E. Hodgdon, Jr., 58, of Franklin, died at his home on Aug. 18, 2015. He was born in Franklin on June 28, 1957 the son of Richard E. Hodgdon, Sr. and Alice (LaBonte). Mr. Hodgdon was a lifelong Franklin resident and graduated from Tilton Prep. He later attended NH Tech in Concord. He served in the US Marine Corps for four years attaining the rank of Sgt. He was currently employed at Watts Regulator in Franklin where he worked for over 37 years. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hiking, mountain climbing, cross country skiing, and biking. His favorite outdoor sport was swimming. He was a self-taught computer and photography enthusiast. Family members include his wife of 16 years, Susan B. (Gallagher) Hodgdon, his mother and her husband, Alice and Dick Hsu of Fallbrook, CA, siblings: Catherine MacRae of Healdsburg, CA, Anthony Hodgdon of Franklin, Charles Hodgdon of Malmo, Sweden, and Jennifer Handy of Fallbrook, CA, mother-in-law, Mary Gallagher of Bow, brothers-in-law: Frank Morse of Bow and Timothy Gallagher of Ventura, CA, sister-in-law, Kathleen Sawicki of Lompoc, CA, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father and a brother, John D. Hodgdon who died in 2010. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015 from 2-5:00 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 19,2015 at 11:00 am at NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
