Richard Downes

Franklin, NH Richard A. Downes, 48, of Franklin, died at Lakes Region General Hospital on Jan.5, 2014 after a long period of failing health with family and friends by his side. H was born in Downey, CA, on Sept. 15, 1965 the son of Elden M. Downes and Jennie (Drury) Downes. He was a resident of Franklin for several years. Richard loved spending time with family and friends. A kid at heart, he loved when his grandchildren would spend the night and they would play, laugh, and be silly together. Richard will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his best friend and wife, Sherry St. Jacques-Downes, his mother, Jennie Downes, stepfather Ben Evans, sister Sheila Houle of Danbury, brothers: William Fleury of Franklin, David Downes of Alexandria, and Jake Downes of CA, 2 daughters: Jennifer Downes of Belmont and Samantha Downes of Franklin, 2 stepdaughters: Dawn Ryley of Franklin and RaeAnne St. Jacques of Tilton, 8 grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Elden Downes, a brother, Peter Fleury, and sisters Sally Inkel and Sandra Downes. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014 from 6-8:00 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin.
