Phyllis Kerkawich

Mrs. Phyllis J. Kerkawich, 83, formerly of Hill, NH, died at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen on Dec. 28, 2016. She was born in Irvington, NJ on May 5, 1933 the daughter of John and Constance (Michalski) Gorley. Phyllis was raised in New Jersey where she resided until moving to Hill in 1989. She was employed for several years at Otis Elevator in Harrison, NJ where she met her late husband, Robert. Phyllis was an accomplished bowler and competed in many events. She was a member and Past President of The Pasquaney Flower Club in Bristol, and was a member of the Hill Historical Society. Phyllis in the widow of Robert M. Kerkawich who died in 2008. Family members include a step-daughter, Lois Ann Kerkawich of Campton, a sister, Elaine Pabst of Boscawen, and nieces and nephews. A service will be held at NH Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, NH on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017 at 2:30 pm. Interment with her husband will follow. Donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to the Pope Memorial SPCA, 94 Silk Farm Rd., Concord, NH 03301. Thibault-Neun Funeral Home in Franklin is assisting with arrangements.
