Phyllis Havey

Mrs. Phyllis E. (Huckins) Havey, 84, of Franklin, died at her home on Sept. 14, 2014. She was born in Laconia on Aug. 13, 1930 the daughter of Guy and Blanche (Hawkins) Huckins. Phyllis was raised in Northfield and attended local schools. She and her husband resided in Pawtucket, RI for four years before moving to Franklin in 1955. Several years ago, she was employed at Electrocircuits in Franklin for 4 years and later worked in the school lunch program at Franklin High School and Franklin Middle School for many years. Phyllis was a member of the former Court Annie Nesmith of Catholic Daughters of America. She and her family enjoyed camping and were members of the Good Sams Gunstock Travelers Camping Club. She was a communicant of St. Paul Church where she was a member of the Church Choir. Phyllis also sang as a member of the Serendipity Singers. Phyllis was a great cook and enjoyed baking, sewing, and jewelry. Family members include her husband of 63 years, Henry Havey of Franklin, four children: Linda Clifford and her husband Stewart of Tilton, Thomas Havey and his wife Leisha of Franklin, Ann Havey of Keene, and Robert Havey and his wife Kristine of Warner, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a sister, Barbara Cooper of Franklin, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Sept. 18th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Phyllis's life will be held Friday, Sept. 19th at 10 in St. Paul Church (St. Gabriel Parish). Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
