Philip W. Cornwell

March 30, 1947 — July 5, 2018

Philip W. Cornwell, 71, of Franklin, New Hampshire, went to his final Home last week. He was the son Eleanor and the late Ralph Cornwell.

Phil is survived by his beloved friend, Kathy Dietrich; daughters, Lisa Cotter and her husband, Daniel Cotter, Leeann Allen, and Mary Nadeau; Grandchildren, Michael Campbell, Jessica Allen, Dominic Cornwell, Michael, great grandson, Jayce Thomas,  and was recently predeceased by his first grandchild, Nathan Cornwell.

Phil grew up in Salisbury, N.H., but lived in Franklin most of his life and known as "Captain Phil". He had a passion for fishing, and ice fishing at his parent's home on Webster Lake; baseball; basketball; bowling, greeting & visiting with friends, neighbors; and strangers.

Phil had a large heart and was always willing to help others in need, especially abandoned animals and wildlife. He had plenty of peanuts by his kitchen chair that he fed to his gray, long tailed friends each morning.

Phil was a member of the Salisbury Congregational Church and was known for his generosity, friendly presence, and smile, which will all be missed by many. He is now with his Lord and Savior in Heaven, watching over his family and friends.

SERVICES: Private graveside services will be held at Blossom Hill Cemetery, in Concord, N.H.

Memorial donations may be made in Phil's name to the Franklin Animal Shelter, PO Box 265, Franklin, NH 03235.
