She was born in Franklin on Oct. 10, 1933 the daughter of George and Isabelle (Trottier) Beane. Nancy was raised in Franklin and resided in Tilton since 1967. She was formerly employed by Beede Electric in Penacook and later for several years at Webster Valve in Franklin. Nancy was a member of Franklin VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed bingo, jigsaw puzzles, and ceramics. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard "Red" C. Smith, Jr. in 2000, a son Gary Wayne Smith in 1954, and a daughter, Donna Strickland in 2000. Family members include her six children, Sherry Locicero and her fiancé Joe Sylvester of Contoocook, Normand "Butch" Smith and his wife Gail of Northfield, Debbie Beaudet and her husband Rick of Tilton, Tina Smith of Tilton, Dennis Smith and his wife Kelly of Campton, and Roxanne Prine and her husband Brian of Colorado Springs, CO, 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, longtime friends, Phyllis and Bud Colcord of Franklin, and nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013 at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield from 5:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 am with burial to follow in Franklin Cemetery.
