Myrtal H. Tredinnick

Myrtal Dodd HartmanTredinnick, age 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,on December 29, 2020. She passed away peacefully at home in Webster, NH. "Myrt" was born in Havertown, PA on Oct 5, 1927 to parents Maurice and Myrtal Hartman and later lived in Wayne, PA, before retiring to Florida. She attended Haverford High School and The King's College before marrying her high school sweetheart, G. Donald Tredinnick in 1949. All through her life, Myrt trusted God during good and hard times, knowing her sins were forgiven, and wanting to please Jesus in whatever she did. Though her memory declined as Alzheimer's advanced, she still could sing the old hymns of faith in God. Wherever she lived, she loved attending church and serving in many ways: singing in the choir, directing the church nursery, teaching children's Sunday School, and Vacation Bible School. Myrt and Don set up a huge library at the church they attended in Florida, including cataloging and circulating the books. Myrt was a great hostess, cooking for family gatherings at her home, entertaining neighbors and friends, and opening her home to Missionaries passing through. As Myrt's children grew, she had time to be creative: refinishing furniture, sewing clothes, designing beautiful quilts, doing stained glass and decoupage, and painting in watercolors, oils, and acrylics. Myrt had several showings at her retirement facility and sold some of her artwork. Most projects were freely given to family and friends. She played the cello and loved music, enjoyed the ocean and finding shells on the beach, gardening, and studying the Bible. Myrt was a "people person" and thrived on friendships she made wherever she went. She thought the world of her grandchildren, whom she saw as often as possible. Myrt is predeceased by her beloved Husband, Don. She is survived by her Children, Donna McWilliams (Tom) of Webster, NH, Don Tredinnick (Laurel Utechtt) of Greensborough, NC, and Dale Morgan (Bill) of West Chester, PA. 8 Grandchildren: David McWilliams, Rebecca McWilliams Meinecke, Sarah McWilliams Hess, Danny McWilliams, Amy Morgan Rhoads, Beth Morgan Pass, Cathy Morgan DeFranza, and Edward Tredinnick. 14 Great-grandchildren: Rachel, Sarah, Caleb, and Leah Rhoads, Addison, Lennan, Tanner, and Jackson Pass, George, Rebecca, and Victoria Meinecke, Josiah DeFranza, and Evan and Lily McWilliams. 8 Nephews and Nieces: Susan Hartman Brink, Barbara Hartman Fisher and David Hartman; Chuck Fisher, Patti Fisher, and Fred Fisher; Lynn Tredinnick Bush and Dell Tredinnick. She is survived by her sister, Betty Hartman Fisher of Imperial, CA and pre-deceased by 2 brothers, Maurice and Fred, as well as a grandson, Gabriel DonTredinnick. Her family likes to remember Myrt's love for her husband Don, and unwavering commitment to her Lord. She had a willingness to give her time and talent to anyone and everyone she knew. Her faith in God impacted her and motivated her to give sacrificially to many missionary projects around the world, so that others could hear the good news of Jesus. Don and Myrt's prayer was that their children and future generations would know the same Jesus they knew as their Savior, and that for generations to come, we would share our faith to a world that so desperately needs to hear His Good News of salvation and hope! What a great reunion we'll have in heaven one day! A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church cemetery in Spring City, PA at a later date, when risk from the pandemic decreases. Those who wish to remember Myrtal in a special way may make a gift in her memory to the church she attended while living with Donna and Tom. It hopes to build a ramp for better accessibility. Alternately, we suggest Food for the Poor, a Christian agency that helps the poorest of the poor in Caribbean nations. Historically, they keep administrative costs low so most money raised actually goes to provide food, clean water, homes, education, and training as a means to help get people out of poverty.
