Franklin, NH? Mildred I. Andrus, 86, of Franklin, died unexpectedly on Sept. 14, 2010. She was born in Old Orchard, ME on May 6, 1924 the daughter of Emery Everett Thomas and Zera May (Bean) Thomas. Mildred was raised in Laconia and Sanbornton and was a graduate of Laconia High School, Class of 1942 Simmons College in Boston in 1946. She worked as a dietician and teacher. She retired in 1986 and enjoyed traveling with her late husband. While retired, she enjoyed being part of her family's lives, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her husband, Leslie P. Andrus, died in 2003. Family members include her 3 children, Paula Dwinal and her husband James of Hooksett, Everett Andrus and his wife Denise of Tilton, and Frank Andrus and his wife Jan of Sanbornton, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 brothers: Richard Thomas of Florida and L. Earl Thomas of South Carolina, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Maryann, and a brother and sister. Visiting hours will be held Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 from 12:30pm ? 2:00 pm at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday at Bayside Cemetery, Laconia.
