With heavy hearts we announce that Michael Murphy (71) went to his heavenly family on the most fitting day, his dad’s birthday, 12/3/23. He was born and lived in Manchester NH until 1982. A proud Navy Veteran that went on to become a copier service technician working for Toshiba for over 30 years. He volunteered for many civic, municipal, charitable, religious and community committees. His favorite being during the Christmas season where he met hundreds of children as a liaison to the North Pole.
He now joins his father Joseph Murphy and grandson Hunter Murphy (fishing buddies for eternity).
Survived by his mother Betty (Steiner) Murphy of Manchester, wife Elaine (Bachler), children: Brendan and significant other Kara of Northfield, Ryan and Candace of Saucier MS, Shannon and Walter Hall of Hill. Grandchildren: Trevor, Chloe, Dori and Walter, honorable grandchildren Eamon and Owen. Siblings Dan (Jeannie) Murphy of Manchester, Lisa (Mike) Brien of Gilford, Peg Murphy of Bedford. In-laws Robert (Terry) Bachler of Franklin, Barbara (Wayne) Lowe of Manchester and Donald Bachler of Franklin.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023, from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 96 Main St., Belmont. Burial will follow at NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
