Merilda Beaupre

Franklin, NH Mrs. Merilda "Millie" Beaupre, 102, of Franklin, passed away at her home on July 17, 2014. Mille was born in Benton, NH on Oct. 24, 1911, the daughter of Leon and Amanda (Beaulieu) Bedard. She moved to Franklin at age 6 and attended St. Mary School. Millie enjoyed gardening, sewing, drawing, painting and doing crafts. She also loved animals, especially her cats, Frankie, Johnny and Muffin! She worked at the former Franklin Needle Shop, Sulloway Hosiery Co., and lastly at Tilton Dress Shop prior to retiring. Millie was a communicant of St. Paul Church and was a member of the former Court Annie Nesmith of Catholic Daughters of America. She belonged to the former Franklin Senior Citizens. Family members include her son-in-law and wife, Chip and Nancy Skoglund of Barrington, NH, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Beaupre in 1995, her daughter Rochelle Beaupre Skoglund in 1984, her brother Leon Bedard and sister Marie Tessier. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Millie's life will be held at St. Paul Church of St. Gabriel Parish on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 10 am. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
