Melvin Allen Boyce placed his faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and his faith has now become sight. He was born June 12, 1940, in Robertsville, NJ and died peacefully June 6, 2024, at the Peabody Place in Franklin, NH.
Mel served in the US Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962 as a tanker operator and MP. After being discharged, he worked for Bristol Myer Squibb for 40 years as a maintenance mechanic and supervisor. He always loved old cars; his pride and joy was a custom 1940 Ford coupe which he fully restored. He won many trophies with this car. He loved to build model cars and had hundreds around his home. He and his wife Patt created a large model train setup which his grandchildren and great grandchildren loved to watch him operate. He also enjoyed camping and saw much of the United States over the years. Mel was a lifelong member of the American Legion, holding many positions in the post.
Mel is predeceased by his father and mother, Richard and Eva Boyce, his wife Patricia Boyce, and his daughter Deirdre Boyce. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Pastor Daniel and Sandra Boyce, his two step children, Brian Lashley and Sheree Rohrig , his sister and brother -in-law Carol and Frank Green, sister Joan Dye, and sister Audrey Frisher, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mel will be interred in the NH Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
