Mary Murray

Mary Theresa Murray, 89, formerly of Franklin, died at Merrimack County Nursing Home on March 16, 2016. She was born in St. John, New Brunswick, on March 15, 1927 the daughter of William A. Sutherland and Margaret A. Haight. Mary moved to Warner, NH in the mid 1960's and to Franklin in 2009. She formerly worked at the NH State Hospital and Rumford Press in Concord. Mrs. Murray lastly worked at Merrimack County Nursing Home until retiring. Mary was a member of the Lochmere Baptist Church. She also loved following the Boston Red Sox. She is the widow of Lester Murray and was predeceased by a daughter, Theresa Abbott, and a brother, Raymond Haight. Family members include her children: Linda Murray of Concord, Billy Murray of MA, Diane Brawner of GA, Anita Blodgett of Webster, and Cornelia Burleigh of Concord, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 25, 2015 at 11 am at the Lochmere Baptist Church, 77 Church St., Lochmere. Burial will be in the spring in Park Cemetery, Tilton.
