Mary Elizabeth Grace (Gokey) Everett ? Former Kindergarten Teacher at Hancock Annex FRANKLIN ? Mary Elizabeth ""Marybeth"" Grace (Gokey) Everett 76, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Franklin, New Hampshire died on Thursday, October 21 2010 in Ocala, Fla. Marybeth was born on November 14, 1933 in Baltimore, daughter of Anne Laurie (of Peterborough, NH) and Russell Gokey of Roland Park, Maryland. Mrs. Everett was a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park and a member of Delta Gamma National Fraternity. She received her teaching certification from Plymouth State University, NH. Mrs. Everett was a kindergarten teacher at Hancock Annex Elementary School in Franklin, NH. She later became a reading specialist for Prince George's County, Md. She was an active member of the Franklin Hospital Auxiliary and The Webster Lake Association. An avid painter, she studied under Loran Percy. Marybeth is survived by four children: Elizabeth Everett, Ocala, Fla., Virginia Doyle of Sanbornton, Donald Everett, Jr., Barton, Md., Victoria Hardwick of Churchville, Md. and six grand children. Her husband of 54 years, Donald Alan Everett, Sr., passed away on October 21, 2009. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 27 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic church, School St., Franklin, New Hampshire. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franklin Animal Shelter, 71 Punch Brook Road, Franklin, NH 03235. Thibault-Neun Funeral Home in Franklin ( www.neunfuneralhomes.com ) is assisting with arrangements.
