Marie Helga Stevens

Northfield, NH – Marie (Davidson) Stevens, 74, of Northfield, NH, passed away peacefully at Hospice House in Concord, NH, on March 19, 2024, with her family by her side. A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she was born in Laconia, NH to Larry & Gudrun (Gudmunsdottir) Davidson on November 16, 1949.
Marie was a lifelong resident of Northfield. She attended Tilton-Northfield High School and graduated with the Class of 1967. She went on to work for DCYF for over 30 years. Marie took a well-deserved early retirement in 2007, which allowed her to help care for her grandchildren, whom she adored.
Marie’s days were happiest being outside, walking her dogs, and enjoying time with family & friends. She loved people, and was a loyal friend to many. She had built & grown relationships from childhood until the day she died. She was kind & generous, and had a wonderful sense of humor, that she maintained until the end.
Marie leaves behind her devoted husband of 54 years, Richard (Digger) Stevens, her daughters, Lisa Stevens (Ed) of Norfolk, VA, and Michelle Chapman (Todd) of Sanbornton, NH. Her much loved and spoiled grandchildren, Shelby, Hunter, & Sydni. Marie is also survived by her sisters Kris Nolin, and Deb Keith, and her brother, Larry Davidson, all of whom she treasured. Marie was also a very special Auntie to her many nieces & nephews, an adored cousin, & special friend. She was predeceased by her parents, and her brothers, Paul & Mike Davidson.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 12-2:00 at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, Park St., Northfield, NH.
