Call to Order Flowers by Phone1-877-212-3610 Code: 2001526P FRANKLIN - Mrs. Margaret Desrosiers died at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen on May 27, 2016 following a long illness. She was born in Brookfield, Newfoundland , Canada the daughter of William and Jane (Norris) Sturge. Margaret moved to the United States in 1955 and soon became a proud Naturalized citizen. Margaret worked many jobs during the course of her life. As a kitchen aid at Franklin Regional Hospital, as a seamstress at the former Tilton Dress Co. in Franklin, and as a dietary aid at Mountain Ridge Healthcare where she then retired. Margaret was a wonderful seamstress and loved to sew and do alterations. She also, loved being a Grandmother (Meme) to her grandchildren. In more recent years she was able to spend summers in the one place she loved so much as a child. Newfoundland. Always quick with a story or a memory. Margaret had a passion for the elderly and reached out to give a hand to those in need. Always there with a kind word and a smile to brighten their day. Her husband, Arthur A. Desrosiers Jr, died in 2012. Family members include her children, Brian Banfield and wife Reed of Calgary, Canada. Arthur A. Desrosiers III and wife Carolyn of Alexandria, NH. Debra J. Taylor and husband Steve of Hill, NH, four grandchildren, Adam Desrosiers of Cannan,NH. Ryan Desrosiers of Punta Gorda, Fl. Benjamin Jones, Hill, NH. Michael Jones, Hill, NH, three great-grandchildren, Amara Desrosiers, Reese Desrosiers and Elijah Jones. A brother Joseph Sturge of Oshawah, Canada, and a very dear lifelong friend, Irene Pescinski, Tilton, NH. Margaret was predeceased by her parents and brother Henry Sturge, Sisters Meta Reed, Bessie Sturge, all of Canada and a sister Elvie Stickles of Massena, NY. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 1:30 pm in NH Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, NH.
