M. Catherine Jewell? Franklin ? Mary Catherine Horman Jewell (Cathy) 63, died June 9, 2010 surrounded by her family at Concord Hospital. She was born in Lowell MA in 1946. Graduated from Franklin High School in 1964, and the University of New Hampshire in 1968. She lived in Clearwater FL, Lisbon NH, and Littleton NH, before settling in Franklin NH where she raised her two children. She was a lover of art and literature and worked tirelessly as a teacher for over 40 years. She most recently taught at Winnisquam Middle School and retired from there in 2008. While at Winnisquam she helped to bring the ""Patriot's Pen"" Program to life giving scholarships to civic minded students and was one of the first teachers to learn and teach on computers in the ""Classrooms of Tomorrow"" project. Cathy was a proud and active member and leader of TOPS. She loved to travel; she took many trips with friends and family, and recently toured Ireland with her father and daughter, and was a frequent visitor to Bermuda. She was a dedicated member of St. Paul Parish in Franklin. IN HER LIFE: Cathy is survived by her son Christopher of Franklin, daughter Caitlin, her husband Jeff Leiter of Boston and soon to be Grandson, and her kitty Pinky. Cathy has a brother Jim (Theresa) Horman Jr., Patricia Price, Anne (Jim) Harris, Donna (Jerry) Parent, and Bernadette (Raymond) Harris and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins whom meant the world to her. SERVICES: Calling hours will be held at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin, NH on Thursday the 17th, from 5-8 PM. A Catholic Mass will be held on Friday the 18th at St. Paul's Church at 10 AM followed by a gravesite ceremony at Holy Cross Cemetery in West Franklin.
