Franklin, NH Lucille D. Gaudette, 81, a resident of Franklin for over 60 years, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Peabody Home in Franklin surrounded by her family. Lucille was born in Edwards, NY on Feb. 16, 1933 the daughter of Arthur and Minnie (Langley) Braley. She grew up in Hill and Andover, NH and graduated from Andover High School in 1952. After high school, she worked at Sulloway Hosiery Mill where she met her husband, Raymond Gaudette. They were married for 60 years. Raymond and Lucille had five children, their daughter, Linda (Gaudette) DeFosses and Phil of Franklin, four sons, Ronald Gaudette and Eileen, Richard Gaudette, Randy Gaudette and Laura, and Ryan Gaudette and Julie. She has 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Lucille was a smart businesswoman, running two apartment buildings in Franklin. She was a stay at home mom raising her 5 children, babysitting numerous other children, and caring for her mother-in-law, Laura. She loved crafting, gardening, canning, cooking (Mom's famous baked beans), line dancing, and singing the St. Paul Church choir for over 20 years. She was dedicated to her God and family. Lucille was a most loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be missed forever. Lucille is survived by her sister, Marie Barton and Stevie, her sister-in-law, Leona Braley, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and 2 sisters, Frances Wheeler and Marilyn Taylor, and her brother, Arthur (Sonny) Braley. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, July 6th from 5-8:00 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday (July 7th) at 10 am in St. Paul Church with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in memory of Lucille may be made to St. Gabriel Parish, PO Box 490, Franklin, NH 03235 or to Franklin VNA and Hospice, 75 Chestnut St., Franklin, NH 03235 who helped care for mom (Thank you Audrey, Jolie, Debbie, and Laura).
