Loretta (LaPlante) Rich, 94, of Franklin, died on Sept. 3, 2018 at Mtn. Ridge Healthcare.
She was born in Franklin on Nov. 8, 1923 the daughter of Romeo and Eva (LaPage) LaPlante.
Loretta resided in Franklin most of her life.
For many years, she was a self-employed preschool teacher.
Mrs. Rich was a member of the former Catholic Daughters of America Court Annie Nesmith and was a communicant of St. Paul Church.
She enjoyed reading and collecting dolls and making clothes for them.
Loretta loved animals.
She was the widow of Merle S. Rich, Jr. who died in 1966.
Family members include her sister, Patricia LaPlante of Franklin, and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by 2 sisters, Lucille M. Beach and Genevieve P. Beach, and two brothers, Eugene R.A. LaPlante and Benoit G. LaPlante.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018 at 10 am in St. Paul Church, School St., Franklin. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
