FRANKLIN... Linda Jane LaFrance was called home to her Lord following a brief illness on June 3rd, 2020. She was born on September 5th 1946 in Franklin and planted roots in Brockton, MA upon returning from a dream vacation to Graceland only to return home following her retirement of over 30 years of dedicated service at Brockton Hospital.
She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur Romeo LaFrance, "Blanche" Redfield and her step-father Frank Redfield II. Her brothers "Frankie" Redfield III, Richard Redfield and Arthur "Pete" LaFrance as well as her older sister Mary (LaFrance) Nelson, her beloved poodle, Casper, constant companion on many a road trip who led the way before her.
She was devout in her Catholic faith being baptized in 1975. She was altruistic to her very core, always giving to others. She was a person to give the shirt off her back unless it was her hospital scrubs or M*A*S*H shirt. She enjoyed puzzles, playing solitaire, reading and movies, especially if they were a good mystery. An avid Elvis Presley fan who could out-shop just about anyone for the pure joy of giving it all away and would wear out the treads of her loafers to shop for children for Christmas.
Often referred to as "Lin" or "J", she leaves behind her siblings Robert Benwell, Joyce (LaFrance) Gloddy and her husband Ronald, Patricia (LaFrance) Dillon and her husband William, Wanda Redfield and Sandra Redfield. She was adored by many nephews and nieces and greats alike. She is also survived by her friend, Chris Clark who always kept in touch upon her return to New Hampshire.
As per Linda's wishes as one to never bring attention to herself, there will be no calling hours. Those wishing to honor Linda's memory may make a donation to a Charity of one's Choice.
