Lawrence Hilliker

Mr. Lawrence M. Hilliker, 85, of Franklin, died at Merrimack County Nursing Home on Aug. 20, 2015. He was born in Swanton, VT on May 11, 1930 the son of Myrvel and Kathleen (Caswell) Hilliker. Larry was raised in Vermont and resided in Franklin since 1941. He served in the US Navy for twenty years attaining the rank of Chief Machinist's Mate. He retired from the Navy in 1968. Larry was a technician for Humphrey's Refrigeration in Concord for several years and later worked for the Franklin School District. Lastly, he was maintenance supervisor at The Peabody Home in Franklin. Larry was a life member of Franklin VFW Post #1698. He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruby (Hannan) Hilliker who died in 2008, sisters, Joyce Sargent and Gloria Sevigny, and a son, Paul Hilliker who died in 1972. Family members include his son, Carl Hilliker and his wife LeeAnn of Northfield, a daughter, Gail Blodgett of Concord, 4 grandchildren, Matthew Hilliker and wife Erin, Jenna Brady and husband Jason, Christopher Blodgett, and Benjamin Normandeau, 4 great grandchildren, Kellan, Kayda, Corah, and Brenlee, and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield, NH. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date.
