Franklin, NH Mrs. Julia M. Kulacz, 83, formerly of Franklin, died at Havenwood in Concord on Jan. 9, 2014 after a long period of failing health. She was born in Franklin on Oct. 6, 1930 the daughter of John and Anna (Osolinski) Petrach. Julia was a graduate of Franklin High School with the Class of 1948 and maintained lifelong friendships with her classmates. She played several sports in high school and was the captain of several teams. She continued to enjoy sports all through her life and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. She especially enjoyed watching her grandsons play on their basketball and soccer teams. She resided 73 years in Franklin before moving to Concord in 2004. After graduating from high school, she was employed at the former Sunlite Cleaners. Once her children were grown, she worked at Franklin Regional Hospital as a technician in the Central Sterile Dept. for 15 years. Julia was a communicant of St. Paul Church, a member of the Polish Home Assn., Franklin Regional Hospital Auxiliary, and volunteered at the Hospital after her retirement. Her family was the greatest joy in her life and she was proud to be a Mom. She loved to cook and loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. She and her husband loved to polka and used to spend Saturday nights dancing the night away at the Polish and Ukrainian clubs in Manchester. Julia was the widow of Albert M. Kulacz, Sr. who died in 2000 and she missed him dearly. She was predeceased by her sister, Olga Gonet and her brother , John Petrach, Jr. of CA. Surviving family members include her children: Linda Pandolfi and husband Alan of Green Valley, AZ, Albert M. Kulacz, Jr. and wife Donna Tencati-Kulacz of Epsom, and Patricia "Trish" Kulacz and husband Mark Durgin of Springfield, NH, 4 grandchildren: Dawn Vezina, Laurie Fournier, Samuel Kulacz, and Jackson Kulacz, 7 great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 at 10 am in St. Paul Church, 108 School Street, Franklin. Spring burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
