Joseph Milewski, Jr

November 3, 1950 — September 2, 2013

Biography Franklin, NH Joseph C. Milewski, Jr., 62, of Franklin, died at his home on Sept. 2, 2013. He was born in Waltham, MA on Nov. 3, 1950 the son of Joseph C. Milewski, Sr. and Ann T. (Meyers) Milewski. Mr. Milewski was raised in Waltham and graduated from Newton High School. He was employed for eleven years by The NH Veterans Home in Tilton as the Facilities Services Supervisor until retirement last December. Previously, he worked at the Taylor Community in Laconia. He was an extremely hard worker and took pride in doing his job well. Joe was dedicated to serving the veterans and worked passionately to take care of the facility as if his own father were a resident. Joe loved to write. Joe had a talent for satire, parodies, limericks and causing trouble in editorials. He was also working on his autobiography; we will regretfully never read the story of how he became banned from Jamaica. He promised it was funny. Joe also loved to read and hoped to one day own a book store with his daughter; it was going to be called Tommy O'Tooles Book Emporium, after his love for the singer Tom Waits. An avid runner, he competed in several races including a marathon in Hawaii. He ran in the NH Marathon in Bristol just two years ago. Joe loved baseball and passed a love for the Red Sox to his wife and step-sons Matthew and Clovis but never did win over Amanda or Arthur. Known as "Papa Joe", and ""Bobo"" to his grandson Connor, he loved his family dearly and was a devoted husband and stepfather; he was always there when we needed him. He will missed greatly by his wife of 14 years, Ann C. (Spencer) Milewski of Franklin, Children: Clovis Spencer of Belmont, Amanda Maguire Harvey and her husband Mike of Franklin, Arthur Maguire of Wilmot, and Matthew Maguire of Franklin, a grandson, Connor Joseph Harvey, and a brother Tommy of MA. Visiting hours will be held Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 from 5-7:00 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin with a service to follow at 7:00. Donations in memory of Mr. Milewski may be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, 801 Roeder Road, Suite 1000, Silver Spring MD 20910 Funeral Service Friday September 6, 2013, 7:00 pm at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home
