Joseph Ashton

Mr. Joseph F. "Uncle Joe" Ashton, 80, of Northfield, died at Lakes Region General Hospital on April 21, 2016. He was born in Sutton, MA on Jan. 7, 1936 the son of John and Laura (Racicot) Ashton. He was raised in Uxbridge, MA and moved to NH in 1972. Mr. Ashton resided in Franklin before moving to Northfield. He was previously employed at Wyman-Gordon in Worcester, MA, Watts Regulator and Oak Laminates of Franklin. Uncle Joe was retired as yard manager at Steenbeke and Sons Building Supply in Franklin. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Mr. Ashton was an avid reader and card player. Family members include his wife of 43 years, Monique (Pratte) Ashton of Northfield, 4 children, Anthony Ashton of Assonet, MA, Joseph Ashton of Tacoma, WA, Christopher Ashton of Canaan, and Melissa Kevlin of Northfield, grandchildren: Michael, Kristi, Alexandria, Adalius, Ella, Olivia, Brandon, and Markus, several great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
