John P. Pelletier, 69, of Franklin, died at his home surrounded by his family on Aug. 22, 2017.
He was born in Franklin on Nov. 15, 1947 the son of Maurice "Peanut" and Leona (Rioux) Pelletier.
John resided in Franklin most of his life and was a 1965 graduate of Franklin High School.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 until 1969. For many years, he was the owner of JP's Roofing in Franklin. He enjoyed visiting friends at local coffee shops, dining out, and especially loved spending winters in Daytona Beach.
Family members include his wife, Karleen "Kelly" Pelletier of Franklin, 3 sons: Scott J. Pelletier of Franklin, Timothy P. Pelletier and wife Ryanne of Franklin, and Jamie P. Pelletier of Daytona Beach, FL, 4 grandchildren: Lauren, Garrett, Reese, and Alexander, a brother, Richard Pelletier of Winter Garden, FL, sisters: Nancy A. Sirard, Faye J. DeHart, and Susan M. Dion all of Franklin, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by 2 sisters: Linda Partridge who died in 2013 and Judith A. Pelletier who died in 2009.
A funeral service will be held at NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen with Military Honors on Tuesday, Aug. 29, at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to Franklin VNA & Hospice, 75 Chestnut St., Franklin, NH 03235.
