Rockingham, VT, Jeannette H. Nelson, 81, of Rockingham, VT, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Springfield Health and Rehabilitation Center, Springfield, VT with her family around her. Mrs. Nelson was born April 10, 1933 in Franklin, NH the daughter of Maurice and Frances (Bergeron) Perreault. She attended schools in Franklin and was a graduate of the Franklin High School. Mrs. Nelson worked as a teacher's aide in the public school in the Washington Beadle School in Beverly MA working with the learning disabled. In 1998, Jeannette retired to Oquossoc, ME, and was active in the Rangeley Guides Club. She loved nature and enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and blueberry picking. She cherished visiting with her friends and family and was an avid reader. She was married to Robert E. Nelson for 55 years. Following his death she married Maurice Cataford in 2010 who also predeceased her. Mrs. Nelson is survived by two sons, Mark Nelson of Beverly, MA and Robert Nelson of Montclair, CA; two daughters, Janice Sheehy and husband Michael of Rockingham, VT and Karen-Ann Williams and husband Jason of Tulsa, OK; a sister Madeline Jacobs of Franklin, NH; a sister in law Germaine Perreault; grandchildren, Jac Nelson, Miah Mills, Taliena Howden, Kyle Nelson and Alyssa Nelson and five great grandchildren Syd, Gabby, Gracie, Lillie and Jack. There will be calling hours Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at the Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home, Bellows Falls, VT from 6 to 8 pm. On Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 (RESCHEDULED) there will be callings hours in Franklin, NH at the Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin, NH from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral Mass will be held Friday (RESCHEDULED), Jan. 30, 2015 at St. Paul Church in Franklin, NH at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
