Northfield, NH Jeanne C. Mazur, 79, of Northfield, died at her home following a brief illness on Dec. 31, 2014. Jeanne was born in Franklin on March 8, 1935 the daughter of Raymond and Violette (Tessier) Hebert. After graduating from Franklin High School, Jeanne attended St. Elizabeth's in Brighton, Massachusetts and graduated a registered nurse. Jeanne married Stephen A. Mazur in May of 1956 and they lived in many parts of the United States. After Stephen's retirement from the Air Force in 1976, Stephen, Jeanne and family moved to Northfield in 1978, and owned and operated Mazur's Hardware and Building Supply from 1978 until 1993. She was a member of the Northfield Planning Board from 1981 through 1989. Jeanne was also a member of the Lakes Region Board of Realtors and a Broker from 1981 through 1989. Jeanne traveled with her family and her friends from nursing school all over the United States. She enjoyed numerous cruises and tours. Jeanne enjoyed spending time with her family at their home in Northfield. Jeanne loved to read and sew in her spare time. She was predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. Ret. USAF Stephen A. Mazur, Sr., who died in 2011. Family members include her children: Stephen A. Mazur, Jr. and his wife Roxanne of Franklin, Robert M. Mazur and his wife Julie of Northfield, and Patricia M. Sawicki and her husband Stephen of Northfield, 7 grandchildren, Courtney Mazur, William Mazur, Cassidy Mazur, Richard Mazur, Christopher Mazur, Jacqueline Mazur, and Kyle Sawicki, her sister, Simone Thurston and her husband Thomas of Concord, her brother, Raymond R. Hebert and his wife Beatrice of Knoxville, TN, and nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Sunday (Jan.4th) from 2-5:00 pm at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield. A Mass Celebrating Jeanne's life will be held at St. Paul Church in Franklin at 10 am on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015. Burial will follow in the NH Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Boscawen.
